Get a Jump Start on The New Year

2021 is definitely the new year we need! Get a jump start on this year’s resolutions and healthy habits with 3 ways to up your smoothie’s nutrition. Whether it serves as a meal or a quick snack, a smoothie is a fantastic option for deliciously sneaking in those added vitamins and nutrients.

Add a nut or seed butter

For extra protein and healthy omega-3 fatty acids, throw a tablespoon or two of your favorite nut or seed butter into your smoothies! Not only will it become super creamy and delicious, the added fiber will leave you feeling full for much longer. Don’t forget your greens

If you’re not a huge vegetable or leaf lover, consider drinking your greens! Dark green lettuce, such as spinach and kale are loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, and fiber. With a base of sweet fruit and your favorite yogurt or milk, you won’t be disappointed when you add a handful of leafy greens into your next smoothie. Sprinkle in some oats

Think beyond the basic oatmeal for breakfast, and sprinkle some raw rolled oats into your blender. This secret ingredient is the key to a satisfyingly thick smoothie (think oat milk without the price tag) and an excellent source of fiber for keeping you full and energized.
